A like-for-like swap is usually a single day with heating back on by evening. A change of boiler type, or moving the boiler, typically takes two to three days. We confirm the timescale in your fixed-price quote. See our boiler installation service.

Combi suits most 1 to 3 bed homes with one bathroom: no cylinder, hot water on demand. A system boiler with a cylinder is better for larger homes or more than one bathroom running at once. We advise honestly at the survey. More on combi boilers explained.

If an unexpected repair would be hard to absorb, a plan spreads the cost and includes the annual service. If your boiler is new and under warranty, a service-only option may be enough. Compare the Smart Care cover plans.

If you own the home (or are a private landlord), it is an existing building, and you are replacing a fossil fuel system with a standalone heat pump. As of April 2026 you no longer need a valid EPC.
