Well, it all depends on how you use your heating currently and how a smart thermostat will change this. And there are some homeowners who will naturally get more use from a smart thermostat than others.
Those best suited to smart thermostat installation include:
- Tech savvy people who are comfortable using mobile apps
- Households with schedules that mean they are regularly out of the house for long period
- Households who want to keep track of their usage
- People who will be staying in the same property for at least 2 years
So, how does smart technology actually save you money?
A smart thermostat essentially gives you more control over your heating, so you can restrict your usage to when you actually need it.
The ability to control temperatures remotely from the palm of your hand means that you can switch your central heating off or down from anywhere in the world, so you need never waste energy when you’re not around.
