What to expect when you’re expecting… a new boiler

We realise that a boiler installation can feel like a bit of an upheaval, and interrupt the daily routines of family life. That’s why at BASI we make everything as straightforward as possible.

So, what should you expect when you have booked your boiler installation with BASI?

Once we have completed a free survey and agreed a quote, we will arrange and confirm a convenient time and date with you.

On that date, our engineers will call ahead and let you know they are on the way. Where possible, our engineers usually work in teams in order to get the job done in the half the time.

We estimate around 48 hours from start to completion of your boiler installation

Once you have invited us in and shown us to the boiler site, we will explain what we will be doing it, and where we will need to be doing it. You can rely on our friendly engineers to keep you informed at every step of the way – so you know exactly what’s going on.

We will work quickly and efficiently, causing minimum disturbance to the rest of your home. And if you need to be out of the house, our engineers will be able to stay in touch by phone to keep you updated with their progress.


Once completed, we’ll clean up

We’ll take away your old boiler and tidy up anywhere we’ve worked. So apart from your shiny new boiler, you won’t be able to tell we were ever there!


We’ll make sure you know what’s what

Before leaving, we’ll talk you through your new boiler, explain the thermostat controls and answer any questions you have about how to use it. We won’t leave until you’re happy you understand how to use it.


Checking in

After your boiler installation is completed, we’ll check in by email or text to make sure you’re getting on okay, and answer any questions. If you experience any issues, we will be on hand to come round and take a look.

If you opt for our Smart Care cover plan, you can extend this support and receive year round boiler cover including an annual service and unlimited callouts.
